The hot summer is finally over, and car camping season is upon us. We took advantage of the long weekend in mid-September to take an impromptu trip to Tottori Prefecture. The car camping spot for Day 2 was the "Prefectural Daisen Parking Lot," which I'd been interested in for a while. This parking lot is open 24 hours a day, from the day after the ski resort opens, except on the ski resort's closing day. It's spacious, and although there's only one restroom, it's kept very clean and comfortable. It gets dark at night, so a flashlight is a good idea. There are lights scattered throughout, so even Yayoi, who is quite timid, had no problem. It's mid-September, the end of this hot summer. Temperatures still exceed 30°C in Osaka, but it's chilly at night here in Oyama...
