How to test Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), BMW E36M43
Symptom in my M43: Everything normal when engine on but the car doesn't move. The symptom will appear when the car was move and the engine suddenly shutdown. it's happen repeatedly and can't predict. Terminal test values: 1) Terminal 1 and 3 = approx. 4 kilo ohms 2) Terminal 1 and 2 (with throttle rotated from idle to high position) = test values must shows continuously variable from (approx.) 1 - 4 kilo ohms
