I removed it and put this other one in its place, but I believe the original tape would have fixed well; it looks good. Since I had already bought it, I replaced it. 3 - Primer helps to fix them better; it's applied directly to the car's roof, exactly where the tape will be attached. 4 - Measure the dimensions and distances on a T-Cross that already has them, to attach them in the exact location. 5 - First, place the roof rails on the roof and make an exact mark on the outside of the base to apply the primer and then attach them exactly where you marked (I did it this way). 6 - Place them slowly in place, front and back, exactly where you marked, then you can start to attach them more firmly. 7 - They come with a protrusion where the screws go (if you were going to screw them in, which won't be the case), you have to file it down with a sander so the double-sided tape adheres correctly.
