Sarangpur Vala Hanuman Mandir Full Information | Hanuman Jayanti | Kasthabhanjan Hanuman Salangpur The Shri Kashtabhanjan Hanumanji Temple is located in Sarangpur village in the Botad district of Gujarat. This temple falls under the Vadtal Swaminarayan Temple. It is said that in Vikram Samvat 1905, Swami Gopalanand of the Swaminarayan sect installed the idol of Hanumanji, which is now known as Kashtabhanjan Hanumanji, to alleviate the suffering of people. It is said that when Swami Gopalanand touched the idol with a stick, the idol suddenly began to vibrate. This stick is kept in the Sarangpur temple and is still used to ward off evil. Devotees from far and wide come here to visit Hanumanji. Special worship is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays, during which devotees come with the wish of alleviating their suffering. In particular, most devotees come seeking relief from problems like ghosts and spirits. Coconut and sweet sweets are offered as prasad here. The Sarangpur Temple Bhojanalaya serves breakfast at 7 a.m., lunch at 11 a.m., and dinner at 7 p.m. For nearly 100 years, the temple's Bhojanalaya has served free meals to all devotees. This Bhojanalaya is run by the temple trust as well as the Swaminarayan Temple located within the complex. Approximately 5,000 people attend the lunch prasad daily. The number doubles on Saturdays and special festivals. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will unveil a 54-foot-tall statue of Lord Hanuman and inaugurate the Nutan Bhojanalaya on the special occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on April 6th. Made from 30,000 kilograms of panchadhatu material, the statue will be visible from a distance of 7 km. A garden will be located in front of the statue, featuring a light and sound show and a fountain. An amphitheater will accommodate 1,500 spectators. The statue was created by Rajasthan-born artist Nareshbhai Kumawat. Popularly known as the King of Sarangpur, the temple also offers a dharamshala for staying.
