Co-FMs at CQS Natural Resources Growth & Income Trust, discuss their top resource sector investments

The CQS Natural Resources Growth & Income Investment Trust (LON:CYN) holds a concentrated active portfolio of global mining, energy and shipping mid-cap stocks in a closed end trust. The CYN stock is trading at a 52-week high of 194 pence per share, has returned more than 150% over five years and is up almost 28% since the end of February. CQS currently trades at a 13% discount to NAV with a dividend yield at 3.2%. Joint Fund Co-Managers Keith Watson and Robert Crayfourd joined the focusIR May Investor Webinar to discuss the CQS portfolio, which typically invests in non-UK listed stocks valued at over US$1bn market capitalisation. The intention is to give investors access to sectors and assets they otherwise wouldn't be able to invest in. They told investors the portfolio had enjoyed a positive few month, benefiting in particular from high gold and uranium pricing, two trends they expected to continue. In the short term they are less keen on copper, expecting a short-term supply dip in demand because of problems in China's construction market. #CYN #CQS #Gold #Uranium #NextGen #Bulkshipping #Global #commodities
