The Revitalization of Dhal ni Pol, Ahmedabad

Dhal ni Pol is one of the 'Pols' located in the historic core of Ahmedabad. MHT has signed declaration of cooperation with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) for the implementation of the project. It plans to revitalize a 250 m stretch of Dhal ni Pol as a development model for the precinct area. This unique model will be the first of its kind that addresses issues in both public and private realms. Pols are residential communities with beautiful houses on both sides of narrow meandering streets. These houses exhibit indigenous solutions to local climatic challenges. They also have unique features like Chowks (central open spaces), Chabutara (bird-feeders) and Kuva (dug wells).
