Back in the day, I ran a fanzine webpage. So on the day of this show, I called and left a voicemail for the “tour manager”. He actually called me back and I asked for a photo pass and he granted that. That got my camera in and I was able to go on stage before the show and on the far right side of the stage there was a walkway that went to this little stand where they had a spotlight. Knowing it was not being used, I went straight there. If anyone from the band saw me sitting there they would assume I’m with the staff and the staff would assume I’m with the band making it the perfect spot to film, even though it was only a couple feet away from the stage.
