As part of its strategy to strengthen its position in the competitive SUV segment in Chile, Changan officially launched the new CS35 Max and CS55 Plus, two models that aim to raise the bar in terms of technology, features, and performance within their respective categories. The launch, held in conjunction with its representative in the country, Inchcape, marks a new stage for the brand in the national market, focusing on products with greater technological content and more efficient powertrains. The Changan CS35 Max represents the evolution of one of the brand's most successful models in Chile. This SUV has grown in size to position itself within the C-segment SUV category, reaching 4,540 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, resulting in more interior space and improved comfort. In terms of functionality, the CS35 Max stands out for its cargo capacity, with a 584-liter trunk, expandable to 1,318 liters with the rear seats folded down, making it a versatile option for family use or travel. The technological features include a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a multimedia system with a large screen, a 540° camera, and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems that enhance safety and the driving experience. Meanwhile, the Changan CS55 Plus positions itself as a more sophisticated option within the same segment, combining greater power, technology, and comfort. Under the hood, it features a 1.5-liter turbocharged BlueCore engine, capable of generating 188 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (7DCT), designed to offer smoother shifts, greater efficiency, and faster acceleration response. On the technology front, the CS55 Plus features a dual 10.25-inch digital display and a central touchscreen that can reach 14.6 inches, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 540° camera with video recording, an audio system with up to eight speakers, and heated and ventilated seats in higher trim levels. The model also incorporates architectural improvements, including a multi-link independent rear suspension, designed to enhance ride comfort and driving stability. In terms of cargo capacity, the CS55 Plus offers a 475-liter trunk, expandable to 1,415 liters, complemented by a power liftgate with remote opening. With these two models, Changan strengthens its presence in the Chilean market, focusing on SUVs with high levels of equipment, technology, and a competitive value proposition within the segment.
