We're getting a sneak peek behind the scenes of the Karl May Festival these days, into areas normally off-limits. And what would the Karl May Festival be without the traditional Native American dances? The days when these were simply danced in a circle – once clockwise, once counter-clockwise – are long gone. Now, there's a sophisticated choreography and a blend of acrobatics and entertainment. Jean-Marc Lebon, an internationally experienced dance instructor and choreographer, is teaching the 30 extras and supporting actors the right moves and steps. Some of the supporting actors have already received professional training. But the most important thing is interacting with the audience, even when things don't go quite as planned.
