Usually, we tend to think of starlight as something subtle, almost buried within the darkness. However, in this painting, Munch presents a bold vision in which the starlight actively bathes the darkness in shades of blue. I put a great deal of effort into translating that particular quality into music. Dohun Lee 이 작품은 에드바르드 뭉크의 명화 "별이 빛나는 밤에"에서 제가 감동을 받아 작곡한 작품인데요, 흔히들 보통 별빛이라고 하면 암흑 속에 파묻힌 미묘한 존재로 우리가 여기기가 쉬운데, 뭉크는 이 그림에서 오히려 그 별빛들을, 별빛들이 암흑을 푸르게 물들이는 대담한 화풍을 보여주었습니다. 그래서 그 점을 음악으로 표현하려고 애를 많이 썼습니다. 이도훈 /// visit the composer: https://www.dohunlee.com/
