RUSSIA, KOMPAS.TV - The Russian Ministry of Defense released footage showing the launch of ballistic and hypersonic missiles during a joint nuclear war games with Belarus. The footage shows Russian forces firing an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Kapustin Yar test range in the Astrakhan region. A Russian Fleet frigate was also seen launching a Zircon hypersonic missile from the Barents Sea. As reported by Viory, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the exercise concerned the preparation and possible use of nuclear forces in response to threats of aggression and took place from May 19-21.
