[Amazon] 2026 has finally begun! I went kayak fishing in Tateyama for the first time in about six months. First, I started by gathering horse mackerel to use as bait for live bait fishing, and to my surprise, I hit a super-fast feeding frenzy! "Keimura Mackerel Skin Rainbow" and "Practical Sabiki 10-Hook Rig" were incredibly effective, and I had no trouble finding bait – a fantastic start. I attached my homemade rig to the plenty of horse mackerel I'd caught and started live bait fishing. Then, I got a huge bite – the rod tip was pulled down incredibly hard…! What came up was a giant 54cm grouper, a personal record! The weight and excitement of lifting it with the Boga Grip was incredible. In the end, I managed to catch a total of three good-sized groupers, making for a very satisfying catch. I'll take the horse mackerel home and have them deep-fried! It had been six months since I was last out at sea, but it was a truly wonderful day as magnificent fish were playing around at my usual spots.
