For example, how adjectives describe a character or how an adversative conjunction (such as "but" or "however") changes the direction of an argument. Logical Conjunctions: Identify the type of relationship that conjunctions establish (cause, consequence, addition, opposition). Verb Tenses: Understand the value and use of different verb tenses in narration or exposition. Spelling and Punctuation: Recognize the correct use of accentuation and punctuation marks as elements that give meaning to the text. 3.
