Cimarron 1873 Single Action Revolvers Review
This is a review of a couple 1873 Colt replica revolvers made by two different Italian manufacturers and imported by Cimarron. I hope you find the information helpful, even if it puts you to sleep. For those concerned with the hammer function as I was, this was the latest response from the Cimarron rep: All Cimarron models are now designated “Frontier”. The Pietta models will begin with a “PP”’ The Uberti models will begin with an “MP” or a “CA”. All of the Pietta models have the four clicks. Only the “Old Model” frames made by Uberti have the four clicks. The “Pre-war” frames made by Uberti have a new firing pin safety hammer. These will only have two clicks. Uberti will eventually be installing this type of hammer on all single action handguns.
