On a museum pedestal and behind a glass case. Today we dive further in and go hands on in the museum with the old pots. Today it's the salt glazed cobalt crock, jars and jugs. With curators' gloves and in the cleaning process they reveal their story of the potters who made them and those who used them, how they were made, and the varying decorative element giving hints of where they came from. As a potter and amateur historian, I give my thanks to the Old Economy Historic Village and Museum in Ambridge Pennsylvania just west of Pittsburgh.
