My friend, Matsumoto, a manicurist, and I went to the riverside dining area in Kifune for the first time. It was incredibly cool even in the middle of summer. Listening to the sound of the water while enjoying shabu-shabu was truly amazing! Loop Salon, a bar in Gion, is a cozy place with a kind owner. It's a place I feel comfortable visiting even as a solo traveler. The dried yuba I bought at Nishiki Market was so delicious, I want to go back to Kyoto to buy the same thing again, lol!!
