1956 Chevy Bel Air
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!!! The Chevrolet Bel Air had a 31-year career, beginning in 1950 and lasting until 1981. However, the US halted production in 1975, leaving the last several years to a lingering market in Canada The Bel Air spans about 8 generations, each characterized by a different body type and an increasing number of features as the car continued into the “future”. Shown here is the 2nd gen, which was produced from 1955 to 1957. Primary production occurred in Flint, Michigan, with a wide variety of satellite sites sprinkled throughout the USA. A man named Bill Mitchell is largely credited for having designed this iconic 2nd gen. The car has a length of 195.6 inches. The weight of the car is approximately 3456 pounds. Apparently, only 7.4% of 1956 Bel Airs initially ordered and driven elected to have seat belts; it wasn’t such a mandatory thing back then Thanks for watching, and PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!!!
