1981-1982 Hebbronville High School Mighty Longhorn Marching Band

This performance was filmed during halftime of an HHS football game. I don't know the exact date, but it is definitely from the '81-'82 school year. If you listen to the announcer, he clearly states it is after the band performed at the UIL State Marching Competition. If you were a member of the '81-'82 band, you should be very proud! I think it's a wonderful performance. Back in the day, the band was also known as "La Banda del Pueblo" and "The Pride of Hebbronville!" My apologies for the video quality. The original format is VHS! The tape is over 30 years old! Im surprised it's in as good a shape as it is. Please be patient with the skips and runs, as well as the other clips that pop in and out, as they are part of the tape. In addition, there are a few places where you can hear the audience having conversations. Despite all these distractions, I hope you will watch (and enjoy) the entire clip. Lastly, I hope there are more efforts to preserve these clips from the past. It is important to digitize old analog tapes where they exist before they are lost to time. They are OUR SHARED HISTORY, and we should be PROUD!! They are us as much as we are them! So here's to the HHS Mighty Longhorn Marching Band, past, present and future!!
