Introduction to Westell’s NEW ProtectLinkV2 Fiber DAS CS45 Series 2.5W 700/800 MHz Class A/B BDA
Scale Your 700/800 MHz Public Safety In-Building Wireless Installations with PLV2 Fiber DAS! Westell’s ProtectLink CS45 Series 2.5W BDA isn’t just a more powerful version of the current compact industry favorite, the CS45 Series 1/2W BDA – the CS45 Series 2.5W BDA was designed for your success and expansion in mind. Still among the most compact UL2524 listed dual band 700/800 MHz signal boosters available, this powerhouse is loaded with options offering up to 96 channels with fiber DAS capability and a low total cost of ownership. Westell’s ProtectLinkV2 Fiber DAS Headend (HE) and Remote End (RE) system provides fiber connectivity for Westell’s CS45 2.5W 700/800 MHz public safety BDAs (bi-directional amplifier) and ORUs (optical remote unit) by providing fiber to RF conversion and communication between the headend and remote units. • The headend BDA is connected to the PLV2 HE via low level RF coax uplink and downlink feeds • Each ProtectLinkV2 Fiber HE can support connectivity for up to four remotes with single-mode fiber • Each HE can be daisy chained via one of the two RS485 ports expanding the remote count for each HE unit for support of additional remotes • Unlike other systems the Headend BDA is a full power radiating device requiring one less remote v.s. competitive systems Westell keeps your ERCES deployments clean and simple!
