Testing the Hapstone abrasive cleaning stone ► Cleaning and restoring synthetic whetstones. The Dressing Stone from Hapstone is designed for fine cleaning of the working surface of very fine-grained stones (F400–F1200), removal of metal chips from the intergranular space (salting), slight adjustment of the geometry of water bars and, as a result, restoration of their operating characteristics. The Hapstone Dressing Stone bars have a grain size of 220 Grit according to FEPA and a very soft bond. The abrasive grain is complex, consisting of synthetic white electrocorundum abrasive and very fine quartz powder. The Hapstone Dressing Stone can also be used as a primer for applying a suspension to sharpening bars of the appropriate grit. Before use, the Hapstone Dressing Stone must be soaked for 5-10 minutes.
