Paragliding Lofoten, Norway. Flying through the seasons

November-December. Hike and Fly during fall/winter on Flakstadøya, Lofoten. Four flights from four different mountains, Paragliding and Speedriding. Moving to Northern Norway in the fall was a pretty scary thing for me to do. The seasons changing from summer to winter get me every time. The days are getting shorter, fast, its overcast and rainy most of the time, I can feel my body slowing down, like I’m in sync with the days. It’s a time to take it easy and wind down. Sure is a difficult thing for me to accept after a jam packed summer with 24hr daylight.  But, rain and shorter days aside, the country bursts into colour. Yellows, oranges, and reds paint the landscapes, and sunrise/sunset are a near constant presence in the sky.  Settling into our new house for the winter, we set off exploring the mountains in the neighbourhood. All the mountains in this video I can see from my house. Three of them from the living room. I gaze out the window on stormy days and think how I can fly them.  Slowly but surely the snowpack is settling, it's time to switch the hiking boots for ski boots, and enjoy the mountains in a different way.
