Can Yeezy Brand Come Back? New Clothes, New Album, and Our Readiness to Forgive and Forget
With the supposed release of his new album Bully, new silhouettes dropping every day, and no signs that the core fanbase is leaving Ye behind, it seems like Yeezy brand... could actually make a comeback. Once a darling of the hype streetwear scene, now a tarnished label with a lot of problematic baggage, it seems like it would be an uphill fight. But given Kanye's pop culture status, somewhat alarming levels of devotion, and genuinely genius-level taste-making abilities, it feels like the ball is in his court. But is the public at large ready to forgive Ye? I feel like we've seen this play out over and over before, where a controversial figure just needs to do an apology tour and they're right back on top. But is that what Ye actually wants, and will it actually work given how extreme his statements have been? I for one am not ready to just forget what he said and did. But it does feel like the streetwear scene has lost some of its guiding light, and no one has really stepped up to carry the torch. What do you think? Will Ye bide his time before he's ready to re-enter the mainstream, or is Yeezy brand going to maintain its tarnished and somewhat Instagram-brandy vibe? https://yeezy.com/ Bully album release: https://bully.yeezy.com/ Jacket I'm wearing is from Resurgence: https://resurgence.supply/collections... #kanyewest #yeezy #streetwear #fashiontrends #mensfashion
