Nishinagahori Apartments in Nishi Ward, Osaka City, is a public housing complex built approximately 70 years ago, and was the first high-rise residential building constructed by the public housing corporation. It featured state-of-the-art features for its time, such as a dining kitchen and a variety of floor plans, and was home to famous figures like Mitsuko Mori and Ryotaro Shiba, earning it the nickname "Mammoth Apartments." Although occupancy declined due to aging, renovations were carried out that preserved its historical value. The murals by avant-garde painter Jiro Yoshihara were also restored, attracting younger generations of residents.
