takeshi kovacs | The Hanging Man [TTC]

"You are an envoy, you aren't trapped . . . You're waiting" _____ My entry for The Tarot Contest hosted by strangerpilot. I chose the card 'The Hanging Man' to represent the character Takeshi Kovacs (Altered Carbon). Card Symbolism: Upright: Suspension, Delay, Letting Go Reversed: New Perspective, Surrender, Sacrifice, Martyrdom I thought this was rather fitting for Kovacs as this card is all about self-evaluation and sacrifice, which I think are key elements of his own journey in the show. I tried to start with the upright elements of the card and then descend into the reversed. Really loved getting to participate in this contest, such an interesting idea and it also gave me reason to experiment with text (which is very unfamiliar to me haha).
