We debated on riding straight through to Gainesville, GA, but there were too many animals on the roads to allow us safe passage. We probably weren't supposed to camp where we did, but we didn't have any problems. A state trooper rolled through the campground around 2:30am and shined his spotlights on us and the bikes, but he continued on without rousting us. We arrived in Gainesville, GA at Adrian's family gathering around 6:00pm and started setting camp in their back yard. We strung up our hammocks in the treeline above the beach line on Lake Lanier.
