Ice to Eye - Mauritania, the Iron Ore Train

Ice to Eye is a rare continuous expedition journey from the frozen wilderness of East Antarctica to the Eye of the Sahara — exploring some of the most remote and extreme landscapes on Earth through photography, film, and poetic narration. This project is a collaboration between lived experience, photography, and artificial intelligence. The photographs are mine — moments witnessed firsthand in some of the most remote and extreme places on Earth. Ice, ocean, desert, silence, weather, scale. Real places experienced in real time. But photography alone is still only a fragment of experience. An image captures what was seen, but not always what was felt standing there in the cold, the wind, the isolation, or the awe. This is where the collaboration begins.
