It took a railway built by Henry Flagler to bring folks down the Florida peninsula to Miami, and then on through the length of the Keys to Key West (technically Mile Marker 0 on US 1). But that was then and this is now. I lived in Key Largo for years and these are the places to go if you’re a local. (Not that we minded tourists and snowbirds, but local life is better!)
