It's no wonder this city on the Volga River is unofficially known as the "Caspian Capital." If you want to properly explore Astrakhan, a thorough overview would require a couple of days of intensive filming, but we only got a short walk around Astrakhan. In general, if you're traveling to Astrakhan, a city tour with a good guide is probably the best option. I'm sure Astrakhan 2021 differs little in this regard from previous versions of the city. Nevertheless, we've tried to make this overview of Astrakhan as comprehensive as possible, including the city's most diverse attractions. Our first stop is the White City. Next, we'll explore one of Astrakhan's most exotic preserved neighborhoods—the Tatar Quarter. Modern amenities, of course, haven't bypassed such a large city as Astrakhan: the Volga embankment is a striking example. The Astrakhan embankment is also a significant part of the city's formal district. Nikolskaya Street is also interesting—Astrakhan amazes with its abundance of historical buildings, as we witnessed during this trip across Russia. I hope we'll return to Astrakhan someday, and we'll share more details in the video. Meanwhile, our journey through Russia continues.
