The race for Ohio’s governor is set after this week’s Ohio primary election and there were no surprises. Democrat Amy Acton was unopposed and Republican Vivek Ramaswamy won easily. Ramaswamy, the tech billionaire, got just more than 82% of the vote compared to the nearly 18% won by conservative activist Casey Putsch. We’ll take a look at what the results mean for the November election. There was even less drama in the primary for U.S. Senate. Incumbent Sen. Jon Husted ran unopposed in the Republican primary. In the Democratic primary, former Senator Sen. Sherrod Brown easily defeated Ron Kincaid. Brown got 90 percent of the Democratic vote. Now Brown and Husted - square off in a race that could decide which party controls the Senate. He announced his resignation on Thursday to join the Alliance Defending Freedom, a conservative Christian legal advocacy group known for its role in overturning Roe vs Wade, in June.
