Join me as I experience a traditional Maiko photoshoot in Kyoto, Japan 🇯🇵 This experience was actually my husband’s wish for me — to see me transformed into a Maiko while visiting Kyoto. From the detailed makeup and hair transformation to the beautiful kimono dressing and traditional posing, it turned out to be such a unique cultural experience. I chose the indoor traditional house setting, which made everything feel even more immersive and authentic. I was honestly surprised by how much work and precision goes into every step of becoming a Maiko — especially trying to breathe in the tight kimono "Male guests are normally not allowed in the makeup room.
