Oaken commode. Woodworker's Santa-Barbara. Solid wood furniture was always popular, so in these videos I will show you some of the classic woodworking techniques. In this project, I will use some of Arden and Procut router bits, which I ordered at https://tooldirect.ru/ This particular piece of furniture is not very hard to make, but it involves quite a few woodworking methods and techniques. It's quite a long project, in which I will show several examples of joints. There will be a lot of tools and machinery used in these videos, most of all jointer, thicknesser, and a table saw. Also, I used some of my power tools, including router, jig saw, circular saw, grinder and some other tools. Among the hand tools, I used a planer, chisels, japanese saw, etc. The cabinet is made of pine panels, which were veneered using a contact adhesive, and finished with oak. I used some fairly cheap, but good-quality hardware. The joinery includes dovetails, straight and loose mortice and tenon joints, as well as biscuit joints, and some others. The drawers were made using my box-tenon cutter jig.
