Mercedes-Benz GLK - How to remove / install the radio display and radio | X204

Removing the radio display and radio of the new GLK is described here. Remove the ignition key. Detach the air vents, ideally with extraction hooks. These allow the air vents to be removed without problem. Disconnect the connectors of the air vents. Using a wedge, disconnect the frame of the radio display. Detach the faceplate from the display. Remove the two mounting screws from the display. Use a Torx T20 screwdriver for this. Disconnect the two connectors from the display. The display does not have to be removed to remove the radio - an Audio 20 in this case. Remove the upper panel with a wedge. Remove the mounting screws for the radio. Release the retaining latch. A delicate touch is required here because the latch is well concealed. Make space to remove the radio. Loosen the boot of the gearshift lever. Release the selector lever module and move the gearshift lever to gear range "D". This prevents the selector lever from being scratched. Pull out the radio. Disconnect the connectors at the rear of the radio.
