Políticas de Habitação em Lisboa, da Monarquia à Democracia

As políticas de habitação promulgadas nos últimos duzentos anos em Portugal moldaram de forma indelével as cidades sendo particularmente estimulante observar o que sucedeu em Lisboa. De certo modo, abordar a experiência da capital permite refletir sobre o caso nacional, uma vez que as medidas implementadas foram frequentemente pioneiras e influenciaram o restante país. A abundante experiência da capital no domínio habitacional e o modo como as intervenções promovidas por entidades públicas e semipúblicas contribuíram para a construção da paisagem urbana de Lisboa têm sido revelados através de elementos como a arquitetura, a morfologia, ou o desenho urbano. Housing Policies in Lisbon From The Monarchy to Democracy (English subtitles available) The housing policies enacted in the last two centuries have indelibly shaped Portuguese cities, and it is possible to find neighbourhoods promoted directly or indirectly by the State all over the national territory. Observing what happened in the city of Lisbon is particularly stimulating because, to a certain extent, addressing Lisbon’s experience is also talking about the national case as a whole, because the measures implemented in the capital were often pioneering and influenced the rest of the country.The exhibition “Housing Policies in Lisbon: from Monarchy to Democracy” presents the urban results of housing policies in the city, highlighting the practical and conceptual differences of the several policies enacted in the last two hundred years, particularly regarding architectural choices, morphology, urban design, recipients and location.
