With it's beautiful hand carved stone, the majority of the Minster was built between 1220 and 1472, although it's still being actively maintained by the stone masons today. The Great East Window, claims to be the largest single expanse of medieval stained glass in the country. Set in the heart of Yorkshire, York is one of England’s most historic and beautiful cities, offering a rich tapestry of heritage dating back to Roman times. Today, York is renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture, including the iconic York Minster and featuring the famous Shambles, often regarded as the best-preserved medieval street in Europe.
