And then God makes a promise so audacious that if it weren't in the Bible, you wouldn't dare believe it: "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten." — Joel 2:25 In this powerful morning prayer, we walk through the locust years of Joel and the charcoal fire where Jesus restored Peter — there are only two charcoal fires in the entire New Testament: the one where Peter failed, and the one where Jesus cooked him breakfast and gave him back his calling.
