Dante Gebel #646 | ¡Aún eres mi hijo!

We cannot allow our wounds to dominate our lives because we will die alone, bitter, uncompromising, and inflexible. No matter what has happened to us in life, when we finish crying, we must begin to get up, because if we reconcile with our wounds, if we forgive, we have a chance to heal. Did your parents not speak to you? Speak to yours. Did they not love you? Give love. Did they not give you love? Break that selfishness by being generous and a blessing to others. Remember that in the parable of the prodigal son, the father doesn't greet his son with "I warned you," or "I told you so"... he goes and embraces him because he is still his son!
