Ottawa Locks - Episode 1 Cruising the Rideau Canal

Welcome to the first Episode of our trip down the Rideau. As we visit the northern most end of the canal and the longest series of flight locks in North America. 8 locks at of the Ottawa Locks rasie amd lower boats over 75 feet. Join us as we cruise in our 2005 Monterey 302 South bound out of Ottawa along the 200+kms of the Rideau Canal. The canal lifts you up nearly 300 feet at Rideau Ferry before lowering you back down about 200 feet to Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence Seaway in Kingston.
