Following the lifting of the secrecy order, the testimony of Marianela Soledad Palmero, Claudio Barrelier's partner and the mother of his daughter, was made public. Palmero, who lived at 878 Juan del Campillo Street, testified about what happened on the night of May 23, when Agostina Vega was murdered. According to her account, Barrelier was playing video games, asked for cash, left the house, and returned less than 20 minutes later. She said he then went back to playing, ate two empanadas, and went to bed around 3:00 a.m. She also recounted the version of events the accused gave her when Agostina's missing person photo began circulating. Her testimony has been added to the case file being investigated by prosecutor Raúl Garzón.
