Himorogi, Burn in Violet (Tōhō Fūmaroku ~ the Story of Eastern Wonderland) — Jun'ya "ZUN" Ōta, 1997
COMMENT: The "ni moe" in the title [himorogi, murasaki ni moe] means burning, I think it's definitely different from the cute "moe" [attraction towards anime chicks]. The rhythm is unusual. In a word, strange. Ah, what's Oriental about this song, anywaaay? I dunno, maybe the title :) And yeah, this time I had to add notes to the comment. Never thought I'd have to (?) do that, but here it is. I also had to replace all the diacritics (except for the one in the `ū`) to single characters so that it'd fit in the title. Hm. This one is in E minor, but for some weird reason, the version that plays on Kaikidan is a few semitones lower. It's probably an error with the sound driver, as there was no comment on it. I first thought the sound driver would change for each game you'd select the soundtrack of, but turns out it rather seems to reuse the same driver across tracks. Could it be some optimization technique that just-so happened to affect the driver, too? Who knows, once again··· And yeah, here's a shortie this time. Almost 3 minutes long, and it's funny to compare it to the previous 2 tracks I've previously published. Or not really, as the difference ain't that big. Also, I decided to play with Unicode further by instead of showing the amplification difference (or ratio?) as decimals whenever my keyboard didn't have the fraction for it (alt gr my beloved), I'd just type the character code for the fraction that yields said decimal. This does make it look cleaner and consistent across different videos, but does that go any easier on the brain compared to just saying the decimal instead?
