The opening ceremony for the new academic year at Taruna Nusantara Senior High School was held today (Monday, July 14, 2025). He added that the 1,457 new students will be placed at six different Taruna Senior High Schools. These include campuses in Magelang, Pagak Malang, Cimahi, Langowan Minahasa, Pagar Alam City, South Sumatra, and the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) of East Kalimantan. He expressed his hope that the mandate and lofty aspirations set forth since the campus's inauguration can be carried out and implemented to the best of their ability. On that occasion, he welcomed the alumni present at the event, which celebrated the 35th anniversary of SMA TN with the new class of 36. "Thirty-five years ago, this campus was founded based on the realization that to achieve a developed, sovereign nation with excellent human resources, the ABRI leaders at the time initiated the establishment of a school specifically to facilitate talented children with above-average intellectual abilities, so that all their potential could develop and, in turn, they could contribute their best work, for the progress and greatness of the nation and state," he said. According to the 1945 Constitution, all citizens have the right to education. Those with high potential and intellectual abilities should also be given the opportunity to pursue an education where their full potential can be developed. In addition to high intellectual abilities, they must also be equipped with the character of pious, resilient, honest, courageous individuals, and possessing chivalrous values. He further reminded the students that SMA TN students are special children. Therefore, it is important to express gratitude to their parents. "Because they raised you, enabling you to reach this point. All the sacrifices and struggles they have made to date have paid off," he said. He then asked them to thank their junior high school teachers. "Because without them, you wouldn't be here," he added. Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), who attended the event, stated that as alumni, he will continue to encourage SMA TN to progress and develop, and produce young cadres of the nation who can become future leaders in their respective professions and fields.
