This year, I was fortunate enough to be admitted to the Central University of Technology's Western Medicine program. Although I was accepted as a backup candidate, I still want to share my journey. 112 (Chinese Medicine), 113 (Chinese Medicine), 114 (switched to Western Medicine), Tsinghua University backup candidate (40th). 115 (admitted to Central University of Technology's Western Medicine program). This year, I passed the interviews for Tsinghua University (154 points) and Central University of Technology (322 points). I had a minimum score of 255 at Sun Yat-sen University, but my English score didn't meet the average. I only scored 200 points in English at Kaohsiung Medical University. I consider myself not a very good student. I've always had poor concentration, which made my preparation quite difficult. What's unusual is that I prepared for the first two years of the program as a Traditional Chinese Medicine student. It wasn't until 2014 that I felt I was better at the Western Medicine subjects, so I switched to Western Medicine. Basically, it was a complete overhaul, because my English is a huge weakness. So the first year after switching was extremely difficult. My preparation included organic chemistry, but having missed the exam for two years, my experience was similar to many others. Given future trends, I believe organic chemistry will be quite important. Preparing some basic organic chemistry material is helpful for handling easier questions. Next, I'll discuss my preparation methods for each subject. In 2023-2024, I attended Kao Yuan High School for intensive tutoring, so my biology and chemistry foundation was built there. Brother Biao's biology textbook was truly exquisite and comprehensive. As a biology-related major, I was already quite familiar with biology, but I still attended every class in person, without missing a single one. I think you must keep yourself in a state of readiness during exam preparation. Of course, some people might find online classes easier to manage their time, but I needed someone to show me my current level and how capable the people around me were, to motivate me to address my weaknesses. Although I was relatively good at biology, sometimes I still couldn't answer the teacher's questions in class. Through the Q&A sessions in class, I could identify my shortcomings and gradually improve. I didn't take my own notes for biology. I mainly just wrote down the key points the teacher wrote in the textbook and reviewed them all before the next class. Biology has a lot of content; the important thing is to practice answering questions. Write down all the key points from past exams, but don't get too bogged down in the smallest details. There are many questions on the exam, so you must carefully select them. For the biochemistry section, I was a true question-and-answer enthusiast, but I still attended the lectures twice. The first time, I spent a lot of time taking my own notes. The second time, I only used my notes to keep up with the class without looking at the textbook. Having your own notes allows you to systematically organize your thoughts. The materials the teacher provided were more than enough. Basically, if you don't know a question on the exam, it means no one else does either. So don't worry about overly strange questions; just do your quizzes well. Then review the past exam questions three to five times. Answering questions on the exam will be a reflex. I think the most important thing is to make your own notes after the first lecture. If you encounter a question you don't know, immediately find out where it is and review it again. This way, you can handle almost 90% of the questions. Chemistry 112-113 Li He My chemistry foundation was built under the tutelage of teacher Li He. At Kao Yuan High School, I focused on practice questions to improve my score, which was incredibly efficient and effective. The questions he provided were more than enough for the exam. I also kept my own notebook during class, which allowed me to organize the key points. If I didn't understand something, I would immediately ask the teacher. In 2015, I didn't have any tutoring, and I didn't study much chemistry. Because I didn't take physics tutoring, I spent a lot of time studying physics. For chemistry, I only did practice questions based on past experience. This led me to see many identical questions on the exam (at Chung Shan High School). I won't go into detail about English. My English is truly terrible. I've tried hard to memorize vocabulary over the years, but I just can't seem to learn it. However, I did get a TOEIC score, which was quite lucky—an 8.
