Historic Dockyard - A Brilliant Family Day Out In Portsmouth!

Join us for a fantastic family day out at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, one of the UK's most important maritime attractions! In this video, my wife, two sons and I explore the incredible historic ships, museums and exhibits that make Portsmouth Historic Dockyard such a popular destination. We spent the entire day discovering Britain's naval history, stepping aboard legendary warships and experiencing some of the most fascinating displays anywhere in the country. Highlights of our visit included the incredible Mary Rose Museum, where we saw the famous Tudor warship raised from the seabed after more than 400 years. One of my sons' favourite discoveries was Hatch, the dog whose remains were found aboard the Mary Rose and whose story has captured the imagination of visitors ever since. We also explored the iconic HMS Victory, Admiral Nelson's famous flagship from the Battle of Trafalgar. Walking the decks of this historic vessel was an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our visit. Although we managed to see almost everything the dockyard has to offer, we simply ran out of time to visit the missile exhibits – a great excuse for a return visit!
