HOW TO BECOME A FARMER? Agro Kuzyni tells you how to start farming. Today I'm fulfilling my dream and checking out what farming is like! We're in the heart of the harvest season to help Krzysiek from the Agro Kuzyni channel and his team! My goal isn't just the harvest, but the launch of a new series: From Zero to Farmer! I'll show you what a farmer's morning looks like (starting before 7:00 AM!), how to operate a combine harvester worth millions, and how much work it takes to get the grain to storage! 🚜 A Day in the Life of a Farmer (Combine, Baler, and Service) Start: I'll show you how to prepare the machinery in the morning (lubricate, blow out filters) so it's ready to work right away! FUEL: You'll see how to fuel up a combine harvester (the tank is 400-500 liters!) and how a farmer has to spend thousands of zlotys on fuel at the beginning of the season. EQUIPMENT: I'm getting into the Claas combine harvester and heading straight to the field! I'll also show you a modern straw baler (Claas Rollant), which operates at a speed of 14-15 km/h (the previous, Polish-made one was 5-6 km/h!). SERVICE: I'll show you how to repair equipment in the field and how to attach a header (wide header) – not easy when the machine weighs tons! 🎓 From ZERO to FARMER (Plan) QUALIFICATIONS: How to become a farmer? You need to have completed agricultural school (minimum 3-month course) or have studied! PROFITABILITY: What makes the most money? Vegetable farming! But it requires a lot of work. Wheat, rapeseed, and corn are more standard. CHOICE: Krzysiek advises me to start with potatoes or watermelons (smaller scale and greater retail profit potential). COSTS VS PROFIT: The farmer pays for the service (e.g., 500 PLN/ha), but from this you have to deduct fuel, depreciation, VAT, and employee costs! I'll show you how much the farmer actually leaves net. 💰 Earnings and Difficulties NON-STOP WORK: Krzysiek works from 7:00 a.m. to midnight! I'll show you that his profit from this year is in storage, and he's not selling it because the price is too low – he'd rather wait six months to make more money! UNPREDICTABILITY: I'll show you why farming is a game of chance (weather, stock market prices, taxes) – a farmer is like a stock market trader, only he waits six months for profit!
