The Transylvanian Rosicrucians and the Order of the Golden and Rosy Cross

Transylvania was the confluence of Eastern mystical teachings and Western esotericism. It was here that representatives of the alchemical schools of the West integrated their knowledge into the patterns of Eastern civilization, giving birth to a new amalgam, which perfectly fit the words of Michael Maier, who states that the Rosicrucians migrated to the East. Although little or almost nothing is said about these things, it was in Transylvania that there were later representatives of the Order of the Gold and Rosy Cross and it was here that the only certificate known in the world at the moment of membership in the Order of a Hungarian count was preserved, in one of the circles of the Order of Trieste. It was also in Transylvania that the Rosicrucian who brought the Order of the Gold and Rosy Cross to Russia and who reformed the entire Russian Freemasonry was born. In this presentation, we will talk about little-known alchemists, about Transylvanian Rosicrucians and about the fate of the Order of the Gold and Rosy Cross in the mystical Principality of Transylvania. Fra. Alexandru Rufanda provides this detailed presentation live from the Atlantis Bookshop in London. Alexandru is an author and researcher of Western esotericism, specialising in the history of Freemasonry, Rosicrucianism and the Initiatic Orders in Eastern and Central Europe.
