Hotel Review - Omni Las Colinas Hotel - Irving TX

Update: As of April 2026, I can no longer recommend this property, or any Omni Hotels and Resorts Property for that matter. After facing issues at one location and receiving a very concerning, disgruntled response when I addressed them, I have decided I can no longer recommend any Omni Hotels and Resorts location. Although this particular hotel was nice, I cannot bring myself to stay in another location and recommend choosing other options that are far more competitively priced and genuinely care about their guests. I am committed to staying open as I can in these matters, and making sure everyone is on the same page remains my top priority. -Anatole Galatyn Another year, another birthday! Unlike the previous years at the Hilton Anatole, I decided to mix things up this year and try out another property I have had an interest in for some time, the Omni Las Colinas. Originally opened in the early 80s as a Four Seasons hotel, after a few hand-overs, the hotel is now the Omni Las Colinas (formerly Omni Mandalay). The hotel features 421 rooms and suites, and also 50,000 sq ft of event space, bringing in leisure and convention travelers with a big list of amenities. The hotel has a resort-style pool, large fitness center, a full-service spa, and a dedicated breakfast and dinner dining spot. Overall, I loved the stay; the rooms are very nicely renovated and have a nice blend of preserving the building’s history while also reimagining the space and bringing it to the 21st century. The food was also great both at breakfast and dinner, with most items being priced under $20 on the dinner menu, and a breakfast buffet, inclusive of drinks and omelettes, being only $22 per person. The food quality was also mixes ahead of other comparable offerings I have had. The customer service is really where this hotel shines, however. There was not a single person that was not helpful; the staff seemed very happy and always took care of any requests I had with a smile. They even all made an effort to wish me a happy birthday by name even though I hadn’t greeted anyone, which was a new and wonderful experience for me. Overall, with all the hotels the Las Colinas area has to offer, I do offer my recommendations to the Omni hotel for its world-class service, wonderful food, and solid accommodations.
