Cartier and European Artistic Craft Days: Mathilde Jonquière
As part of its first year of involvement in the European Artistic Craft Days (EACD), Cartier invited the public into selected boutiques to discover exceptional works of art and their secrets. Mathilde Jonquière is a mosaic artist. Based in Paris, she has cast a new look on the art of mosaic since the creation of her workshop in 2000. A graduate of the Ecole Camondo, she initially studied interior design. Truly self-taught regarding mosaic, she started creating large-scale, often stylised, frescoes.
