【自閉症】息子に日記を書かせるようになった理由と日記の効果

There was a big reason why I started getting my son to keep a diary. I'd like to talk about the circumstances under which I started keeping a diary and how it helped me. My son is a young man with autism and intellectual disabilities (34 years old as of 2022), and is classified as a Rehabilitation Handbook B. He was diagnosed with autism at age 5. A developmental test by a psychiatrist at age 20 indicated that his developmental age was about that of a 10-year-old. No matter how much I taught him, there were limits to how much we could improve his language comprehension, but he has still made great progress, and he has been employed as a full-time employee at a local company for 16 years. For nine years, since my son was in the first grade of elementary school, I have been working on his rehabilitation while receiving mother education at the Tomoni Rehabilitation Center. I'd like to share the home-based rehabilitation I've been working on, with the goal of what kind of adult I want him to become and what he should be like as an adult.
