We set off walking in the rain to admire the majestic Palace of Fine Arts (did you know it took 30 years to complete because of the Mexican Revolution?), crossed the Alameda Central, the oldest public park in all of Latin America, and passed through the iconic Bellas Artes Metro station entrance with its beautiful Parisian Art Nouveau style. But since the cold and walking always make you hungry, we made a mandatory stop to devour some delicious and well-reported hot tortas. To end on a high note, we ventured into the legendary Chinatown (the smallest in the world!) to enjoy some spectacular, soft steamed buns under its famous red umbrellas.
