The problem is, a single defense isn't enough to counter it. You train alone, you progress with shadowboxing, on the bag, everything's going smoothly. And then someone steps in front of you, throws their 1-2, and you freeze or take the hit. That's normal. The jab cross is the most frequent combination in boxing, so it's also the one you'll have to master the most. In this video, I'll show you 5 ways to defend against the jab cross, and most importantly, how to follow up with your counter-attack every time. Not one miracle defense, but a real repertoire. Because if you always do the same thing, your opponent will eventually read your game and it won't work anymore. What you'll gain: 🥊 Stop being on the receiving end of the 1-2 and regain control when it starts. 🛡️ Have options instead of relying on a single reflex, making you much less predictable. 🔥 Understand why your defenses hold up on their own but fall apart as soon as the stakes are high, and what to do to change that. Towards the end, I'll also show you a really simple exercise I recently had my students do. It caused quite a stir in the gym. This is exactly the bridge between technical work and sparring that I'm talking about right now. As always, the idea isn't to burn your body out to improve, but to train smart. More Gain, No Pain.
