El Faro de Mara Torres | Pastora Vega | 10/04/2023

'Gipsy' is the pseudonym Pastora Vega has chosen for this interview. The actress is the granddaughter of Pastora Imperio, a Spanish Gypsy dancer and one of flamenco's most iconic figures. In her second year of law school, she auditioned and began hosting on Spanish television: "People wondered how it was possible for a Gypsy to be on television. I saw it as something unusual, but in a good way." Luis Eduardo Aute, with whom Pastora Vega maintained a close friendship, couldn't be left out of this conversation: "I don't know if I'll be able to talk about this much," says the actress while 'Anda' plays in the background. The singer-songwriter wanted to portray her as Romero de Torres did with the Gatataparda's great-grandmother, Pastora Imperio: "He was passionate about Romero de Torres and also knew my great-grandmother."
